I always have a soft spot for Energon. I do understand why many fans hate it, but at times I feel the hate can be unjust. Besides I still prefer this over what we got from Prime Wars and War for Cybertron...

honestly i think the biggest problem with energon was the dubbing, i watched Transformers superlink and holy heck do the scenes look way better there then here, like the scene showed at 2:30 where roadbuster was crying out to ironhide, (btw in superlink, ironhide was named roadbuster and demolisher was named IronHide), that scene felt way more impactful and matched the movements wat better then in Energon where i'm left confused as to why jetfire was dragging ironhide into the ship the fact that the dubbing made a lot of scenes look bad and at worst made no sense really ruined the show in a lot of ways (that and in superlink, kicker was written way better)

I would make the argument that in Idw at least Megatron was 100% honest, really did want a cybertron based on equality and was NOT out for power cus (fun fact) he had Soundwave read his mind to prove his intentions and bring him over the cons and Soundwave realized he was being truthful.

Megatron, the only thing I never felt for him was fear. I was only 12 when I watched Transformers Prime, and somehow, I felt he had a reason even tho it wasn't explained. And now that i know his legacy, I understand why he did it, not justification of course, but at least i get how he got those feelings and how they grow to a point they control him

Megatron is an unstoppable force and in removal object Megatron is the dark to all bionic and non-bionic species Megatron is Lovecraft's unknown creature that he didn't realise he really wanted to be overall he has every evil tyrant every powerful overlord that is sick and tired of the status quo being ripped apart by people that would only want to veg into infamy he is the voice of the unheard he is the voice of the gladiator turned warrior turned tyrant you are not ready for him but he is ready to convince you otherwise

This, G1, Armada, Prime and Rescue Bots, and especially the movies, but more recently, the new live action movies starting with Bumblebee, are my favorite TF media! I’m currently writing a screenplay for a low budget live action/animated hybrid Transformers short film following Bumblebee, and TF Animated, plus TF Prime, (with a little bit of the movies, Armada and G1 and G2) are the main sources of inspiration for what kind of vibe, tone, writing, animation, cinematography, VFX and practical effects, etc. I’m trying to aim for! Something that has action, humor, and heart, while being a love letter to transformers!

I think part of the reason Energon is so hated is because it presents some great and tantalizing ideas before failing to execute them. The fact that so many of these build off of the second half of Armada doesn’t help, since that’s where Armada hit its stride and started churning out great stories. Energon didn’t simply commit the sin of being bad, it sinned by not fulfilling its potential.

Oh man, I had that Jazz toy and I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately I can't remember what happened to it so I lost it but nonetheless good memories. I just wish a different fate would met the game series. I still sometimes scour internet for the game copies to play it on pc since i had them on my xbox 360.

Whenever I think of him I am reminded of that scene in the original movie when he pulls up on StarScream after being turned into Galvatron “Coronation StarScream?!?!”

I love the speech at the end about Optimus. As you were describing what makes him so great, all I could think of was, "has anyone told you about a man named Jesus?". I grew up watching the Transformers in the 80s. Outside of Beast Wars, I didn't really follow any of the other series. I'm not a fan of the Michael Bay movies, but I was still (initially) excited to see a Transformers movie. Optimus Prime always seemed like the robotic version of Superman (in personality, not abilities). Both were created to be role models of what people _should_ be like.

I’m gonna be honest despite everyone wanting to see what the 4th season would’ve been about, I actually prefer what we got with season 3 endings as I enjoyed how the show ended for me perfectly, Optimus,l became the hero he was meant to be, prowl sacrificed his spark to save his allies, bumblebee became a confident fighter, bulkhead was realized by his team for expertise in space bridge engineering, ratchet was able to reunite with arcee and omega supreme, sari found her place as a transformer human cybernetic hybrid.

i thought it was neat lol. I had one cd of it (I dont remember what episode they were or if it was like movie compilation style) I thought the mobile command trailer thing was cool and the little mini transformers were cute.

i've grown a weird love/dislike relationship with Shockwave. I'm a person who's stand is what could be considered moral goodness, such as no killing and no harm to anyone, but I also hold disdain for authority and biases that especially prevent cognitive reasoning, such as stereotypes and ignorance under rose tinted glasses. Shockwave (ever since he was made to be the logic and science driven mech we all know and love) consequentially is the type of character that doesn't gel well with me in terms of qualities I'd admire. Yet idk why, he's my favourite even though the resume of IDW and those like that iteration make me wanna take a break from transformers I really don't know why I like Shockwave, maybe it's the boob. Unfortunately, my favourite of all the Shockwaves is TFP Shockwave, who i swear everytime I rewatch the show I'm disappointed when he shows up cus I know he's here for fan service more than actually being a character. If TFP had been better made? Project Predacon wouldn't have been the only thing he'd been doing Edit: I've done a bit of self-assessment and I think it's an opposites attract situation. Either that, or I use his perspective as a moral compass and identify with him because possible autism
